<strong>Michael G. Aronis</strong><br /> 
						Michael G. Aronis is one of the co-founders of ADK (since 1961) <br />and has extensive commercial and technical experience <br />in the fields of Buildings and Water Infrastructure. <br />He is also Chairman of the Association of Greeks <br />from Eastern Rumelia - Northern Thrace (1987-now) <br />and has also served as a Member of <br />the Board of Directors of the Foundation <br />of Thracian Art and Tradition (2002-2007). <br />In 2010 Mr. Aronis was announced Honorary <br />Doctor of Science (DSc) by Kingston University, UK, <br />for his overall contribution to the technological development in Greece. </strong><br /> <strong>Gregory C. Drettas</strong><br /> 
						Gregory C. Drettas is one of the <br />
co-founders of ADK (since 1961) and <br />
has extensive commercial and technical <br />
experience in the field of Marine Works. <br />
He has served as the President of the <br />
Hellenic Association of Consulting Firms <br />
(HELLASCO, 1987-91 and 1996-1997) <br />
and taught as a Lecturer at the National <br />
Technical University of Athens, at the <br />
Chair of Marine Works (1962-77). <br />
He has also served as a Member of the <br />
Board of Directors of EFCA (1992 and <br />
1993), the Piraeus Port Authority <br />(1991- 
1993) and the Public Power Corporation <br />
(1992 and 1993) and was also a <br />Member of the Civil Engineering Scientific <br />
Committee of the Technical Chamber <br />of Greece (1990-1994). <br /> <strong>George M. Karlaftis</strong><br /> 
						George M. Karlaftis is one of the <br />
co-founders of ADK (since 1961) and <br />
has extensive commercial and technical <br />
experience in the field of Transportation <br />
Projects (highways, roads, railways, airports <br />and metro), including related infrastructure. <br />
He has been the No. 1 Bridge Player in <br />
Greece for over 30 years, winning numerous <br />awards & distinctions at both national<br /> and international level, such as the 
5th Position in the <br />Bridge Olympics and <br />
the 1st Position in the European Bridge <br />
Tournament.<br /> <strong>Nicolas C. Drettas</strong><br /> 
						Nicolas C. Drettas joined the firm <br />
as partner shortly after its foundation <br />
and has extensive commercial and technical <br />experience in the fields of Project <br />
Management and Supervision. <br />
He has served as the President and <br />
Vice-President of the Technical Chamber <br />
of Greece for numerous years, and as <br />
Chairman of the National Organization <br />
for Hospital Construction (1989-1993). <br />
He has also been the Chairman of the <br />
Technical Chamber of Greece Environmental <br />Steering Committee (1980- 
2004) <br />and a Member of the National 
Bank of Greece Board of Directors.<br /> <br /><br /> <strong>George Savopoulos</strong><br /> 
						George has been with ADK for over 25 years. <br />During this time George has contributed to a great number <br />of building projects, ranging from administrative buildings <br />to Health and Education facilities. <br />George holds a BSc and an MSc in Civil and Transport Engineering <br />from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (USA).<br /><br /> <strong>Elina Dretta </strong><br />
						Elina has been with ADK for over 20 years. <br />During this time Elina has been devoted <br />to the study and design of maritime structures, <br />varying from ports and terminals to marinas <br />and coastal defences. <br />Elina holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering <br />from the National Technical University <br />of Athens (Greece) and an MSc in Civil Engineering, <br />with major in Ocean Engineering, from Oregon <br />State University (USA). <br />Elina has also been an exchange <br />Research Fellow in the Universidad Autόnoma <br />de México (Mexico). <br /><br /> <strong>Christos Drettas </strong><br />
						Christos has been with ADK for over 18 years. <br />During this period Christos has contributed to the environmental, <br />advisory and project management activities of ADK. <br />Christos has served as a Member of the Board <br />for the Hellenic Association of Consulting Firms (HELLASCO)<br /> and has represented Greece in various EFCA committees <br />and FIDIC conferences. <br />Christos holds a BEng and an MSc in Civil <br />and Environmental Engineering from the University <br />of Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) and an MBA from IMD (Switzerland).

Ever since its establishment in 1961, ADK has been involved in significant infrastructure projects, both in Greece as well as internationally. Starting as a partnership of four friends and fellow civil engineering students, the company quickly evolved to one of the top engineering consulting firms in Greece, undertaking the design of most major projects in the country. Furthermore, ADK soon extended its activities outside the home market, being successfully engaged in the design of various demanding projects in more than 50 countries worldwide; in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central & South America, and as remotely as the Pacific ocean, ADK contributed with its expertise and professionalism to the improvement of local communities' well-being.

In ADK we are fully conscious that our work influences the quality of life, economic growth and the natural environment. Shaping a sustainable future is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. Our objective is to provide engineering services that will improve society's quality of life, by advancing the engineering science and practice.
